This program emphasizes the importance of grounding leadership and ministry practices in a solid biblical foundation while benefiting from advancements and knowledge in leadership and management that align with Scripture. The goal is to establish a strong foundation for those who wish to serve their church in a biblically sound and practical manner or dedicate themselves fully to ministry.
The program focuses on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application across all areas of church service. Students will learn how to apply leadership concepts in real-world ministry contexts while embracing the servant leadership model. The program guides students to recognize that effective leaders prioritize their own spiritual growth alongside the development of their leadership skills.
Upon completing the required coursework for the certificate, students will be able to:
- Reflect a strong biblical foundation on leadership and apply essential leadership skills in their ministry including communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution, in various service environments.
- Practice core ministry skills such as preaching, teaching, and pastoral care with confidence, relying on the guidance and leadership of the Holy Spirit.
- Engage effectively with all age groups, enabling deep involvement in biblical teaching, doctrinal instruction, and the delivery of expository sermons tailored to the specific needs of different demographic groups.
- Understand the dynamics of their local community, allowing them to identify needs and opportunities for ministry.
