Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Ministry (BABM)

(126 credit hours)
The Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Ministry program aims to provide students with a solid foundation in biblical studies, theology, servant leadership, and ministry within the Arab cultural context. The program follows an academic methodology that encourages analytical, critical, and practical thinking, enabling students to explore the relationship between faith and various aspects of life within the church and society.
The program seeks to promote holistic growth—spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally—emphasizing the balance between spiritual and emotional development alongside progress in Christian knowledge and ministry. Additionally, it focuses on understanding the cultural and social contexts in which ministry takes place, enhancing students’ ability to adapt to diverse environments.
The curriculum places particular emphasis on the role of the church in society, encouraging a sense of responsibility for community service and fostering a spirit of reconciliation among its different components. Upon graduation, students will be qualified to take on pastoral and spiritual roles in various churches and Christian organizations across the Arab world.
Upon completing the required coursework for the degree, the student will be able to:
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Bible, including its historical, cultural, and theological contexts, enabling effective interpretation and application of Scripture.
Develop skills in organizational leadership, conflict resolution, and team management, preparing them to lead groups and ministries effectively.
Communicate biblical truths clearly and persuasively, presenting them through preaching, leading Bible studies, and teaching in various ministry contexts, thereby fostering spiritual growth in their communities through preaching, teaching, or writing.
Critical thinking, scientific analysis, and strategic planning, enabling the student to develop a personal vision and philosophy for life and ministry while enhancing their ability to apply learned knowledge in practical situations.
Pastoral care, counseling, and spiritual guidance, equipping them to offer compassionate support and help believers navigate personal and spiritual challenges.
Ethical decision-making, utilizing biblical principles as a guide to addressing moral dilemmas with wisdom and compassion.
Empathy and cultural sensitivity, preparing them to engage with diverse communities, understand and respect cultural differences, and foster inclusivity within the contexts they serve.
